Our Foster Parents

The dynamic composition of The IMPACT Project’s foster families is varied indeed, but they all have one common attribute; the desire to always do what is in the best interest of the children placed in their home. We at IMPACT have the greatest respect for our professional foster parents and all that they do to help our kids. Our professional staff and our foster parents function as a team in order to offer the youth in our care the best possible opportunities for education, community involvement, employment, and supportive family living.

Our population of foster parents is comprised of couples or single foster parents ranging in age from 24 to 74, who live in apartments, or houses that they own or rent in urban, suburban and rural areas of Eastern Pennsylvania. Some foster parents have their own children or grandchildren living with them as well. Some parents work outside the home while others are retired or are stay at home foster parents. Some foster families express preferences to work specifically with boys, girls, older or younger youth while other foster parents have the ability and desire to work with either gender. IMPACT even contracts with foster parents who have opened their homes to large sibling sets and/or teen mothers and their babies.

All of The IMPACT Project’s foster parents have community or family connections that support them in their efforts. The IMPACT Project is always looking for new families who want to provide a warm and loving environment which will invite our youth to succeed.

"A hundred years from now, it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in or the kind of car I drove. What is important is that the world is different because I was important in the life of a child."
